Vocational Day Opportunities

Vocational services focus directly on enhancing social inclusion. Our aim is to support and encourage people to achieve their goals and dreams - from making a cup of tea to finding employment. People are assisted to access a wide range of ordinary opportunities, to engage in wider community activities, make new friends and become a valued member of their local community.

People using vocational day services are provided with:

  • An allocated keyworker
  • A tailored plan of activities, specific to the individual, and
  • A regular review of activities.

Activities include many 'ordinary' leisure pursuits such as visits to the cinema, sporting events, cafes, public houses and day trips to visit places further afield; as well as participation in sporting activities, horse riding, swimming, music, arts and crafts, drama, gardening, employment and education. These are just examples - there are many more potential activities - the choice is up to our service users.

The Real Life Options Activity Centre in North West London offers all sorts of activities, both within the centre and in the wider community.
