Registered Homes
Real Life Options registered homes are operated on a contracted basis for specific health and local authorities and are based locally, in the areas where people live and where they have family and social connections. We do not normally accept Out of County placements.

All referrals must include a full assessment of the service user's needs, in order that comprehensive person centred plans and risk assessments can be completed. Real Life Options uses person centred planning, to enable service users to achieve a better degree of self-determinacy in their lives. Reviews are held on a three month and six month basis and Care Managers and other key individuals are invited to attend.
Find out more about the person centred planning process by clicking here and then clicking on 'Circles of Support'.
Regular house meetings take place, when the house manager, staff and service users can review everything about the running of the service, with discussions involving residents and the staff team as a whole. All homes are provided with a comprehensive operational budget, which covers everything that might be required for the comfort and fulfillment of the residents, including food, household requirements, travel, support to service users, insurance cover for the homes, vehicles and a regular programme of refurbishment.
Staff employed to work in homes managed by Real Life Options are both experienced and in many cases qualified. Managers are always qualified. We try to provide a mixture of qualified staff within each home, which ideally will include qualifications in social work, nursing or therapy professions. All staff are expected to have prior experience of working with disabled client groups and to undertake NVQ training.
