Real Heroes Award for HSBC Armley Branch
As we have learned over the years, it’s often the small things that make the biggest difference to people’s lives. We have examples up and down the country of members of the local community who have created a real connection with the people we support. To pay tribute to these individuals in the local and business community, we are presenting them with the RLO Real Heroes award.
The first Real Heroes award ceremony took place on 24th November in Armley, Leeds, for the team of staff at the local branch of HSBC bank. They have provided excellent customer service to the people we support at Strawberry Lane and Belle Vue Road for many years; and know their customers from Strawberry Lane on a first name basis.
“People who Real Life Options support are well known in the Armley community” said Real Life Options Service Manager, Jackie Kirton, who nominated the bank for the award. “They use the HSBC bank weekly and all the bank staff are very patient and provide an excellent service to them. They always treat everyone with respect and offer help and advice over and above normal working practice”.
HSBC staff were thanked and presented with small gifts and a framed Real Heroes certificate by Lisa Watchorn,
RLO Director of Operations. “It’s really good” said the surprised and pleased Branch Manager Emma Wilson of HSBC, “We are very happy to help people. We aim to
provide a superior level of service and I think this award helps to demonstrate that we are achieving it.”
“We want to recognise the shining example at Armley branch of HSBC” commented Brian Hutchinson, RLO Chief Executive; “The Real Heroes award is our way to say thank you to individuals and groups who have, by their actions, demonstrated that they share similar beliefs to Real Life Options, and have helped to improve the quality of life of people who we support.”
