Derek Gains SQA Certificate

Huge congratulations to Derek, a person we support from Glenrothes, who recently gained a Scottish Qualifications (SQA) Certificate for literacy.
“Derek should be really proud of such a great achievement,” said Kawe Enoka, Service Manager. “At first he was unsure about furthering his education as he felt out of place and didn’t feel confident about his own ability. However Derek’s support staff did a fabulous job with building his confidence.
He took the skills he learnt and put them into practice, such as by writing his own weekly planner and assisting staff with daily calculations, such as petty cash and activities. His tutor was really impressed with his progress, so she put him forward to complete a SQA certificate.”
