Real Life Options has successfully achieved the Investors In People Bronze award.
After being recognised as an Investor In People for 12 years, Real Life Options has now moved to the next level.
Director of Management Services, Helen Parkinson, who led the preparatory work within Real Life Options, commented:
"I'm very proud of the commitment and achievements of our staff, whose dedication to delivering top quality services to the people we support is a constant source of inspiration."
The award follows a detailed examination of evidence by Investors In People assessors, who also conducted confidential interviews with senior managers and staff. Assessors focused on commitment and engagement with corporate values and strategy, as well as the effectiveness of staff development and learning.
Assessors found that:
‘. . . people take a great sense of pride in working for RLO. This is linked to the fact that they feel they are doing a worthwhile job, the good reputation of RLO in the marketplace and the opportunities for learning and development available to them.'
‘People feel that they really make a difference - to service users and their families - and to the success of Real Life Options.'
To achieve Investors In People Bronze recognition, Real Life Options met an additional 30 evidence requirements, above and beyond the Standard. There are only 271 other organisations with Bronze status, putting Real Life Options in exalted company.
