Following the decision of Helen Parkinson (Director of Management Services) to retire, Tony Pearson (pictured left) joined Real Life Options on Monday 23rd November 2009, as the newly appointed Director of Human Resources. Helen will be staying on until early 2010 to help with Tony's induction. She will then take up a position as a non-Executive Director.
Tony joins Real Life Options following a 20 year career in the public sector; he has worked in both the Health Service and Local Government. For the last six years Tony has been the Head of Business Management at North Kesteven District Council in Lincolnshire - a role which combined the management of Human Resources, finance and a range of business support functions.
Asked about his new role Tony commented: "I am thrilled to be offered this fantastic opportunity; and I look forward to making a positive contribution to the ongoing success of Real Life Options. It will be difficult to fill Helen's shoes, and it is therefore great news that she will continue to be there, to support Real Life Options through her new role as a non-Executive Director."
Tony is married to Elisabeth and they have two grown up children. He is an armchair supporter of most sports and plays golf "badly"! His major interest is ballroom and Latin dancing; Tony and Elisabeth have now been dancing for four years.
